Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before we get started—and a few things you might be wondering along the way.

Website Design & Fit

Do you only work with yoga studios?

Yoga studios are my specialty.

Having owned a studio myself, I understand the student journey, booking experience, operational realities, and unique challenges that come with running one.

I also work with select wellness and movement-based businesses when the project is a good fit.

Can you redesign existing websites?

Absolutely.

Many projects begin with an existing website that no longer reflects the studio, feels difficult to navigate, or simply isn't turning enough visitors into students.

We'll look at what's worth keeping, what isn't working, and what needs to change—then build the new site around where your studio is headed.

What platform do you build on?

I design and build exclusively in Squarespace.

I chose it intentionally: it's a reliable, user-friendly platform that gives studio owners the flexibility to manage their own website without needing a developer for everyday updates.

Investment & Project Details

What is the payment schedule?

Website projects are divided into 3 payments:

  • 50% reserves your project and is due at booking.

  • 25% is due at the first project milestone.

  • The final 25% is due at launch.

You'll receive the full payment schedule before signing your agreement, so there are no surprises along the way.

How long will my project take?

There are a few factors that determine timing, including the package scope, current project timelines, and how quickly content and feedback are provided.

Generally, a project can take between 4 and 10 weeks.

What do I need to have prepared when we begin?

You don't need to show up with a finished sitemap, perfectly written copy, or a complete plan for your new website—that's part of what we'll figure out together.

I'll ask you to bring the pieces only you can provide: insight into your studio and goals, access to relevant website and booking accounts, and any existing brand assets you'd like us to work with.

From there, we'll build the strategy together. You bring the knowledge of your studio; I'll bring the process for turning it into an effective website.

Content & Working Together

How involved will I need to be in the website process?

As involved as you'd like to be.

You can take a hands-on role in creating your content and visuals, work collaboratively with me throughout the process, or choose a more full-service experience where I take the lead and you focus on sharing your vision and approving key milestones.

The level of involvement changes; the strategy and care behind your website don't.

Will you help me with my website content?

Yes, and most clients have me do exactly that.

My studio-owner background means I already understand how future students think and what moves them from browsing to booking, so I write copy that sounds like you and works like a strategist. It keeps your site cohesive and saves you hours. Prefer to write it yourself? That works too. I'll guide you and review everything so it still converts.

Do I need professional photos before we start?

Not necessarily. Great photography can make a meaningful difference on a studio website, but you don't need to have every image figured out before we begin.

We'll look at what you already have, identify what's missing, and create a plan for the visuals your new website needs. If new photography would strengthen the site, I'll help you understand what to capture so you're not guessing.

Do you handle the technical set-up?

Yes. I'll handle the website-side technical setup and integrations included in your project. This includes connecting your booking experience and preparing the site for launch.

There may be a few steps that require your login, authorization, or account ownership, such as domain or third-party platform settings. When that's needed, I'll walk you through exactly what to do. You won't be left trying to figure it out on your own.

Launch & Beyond

What happens after my website launches?

Launch isn't a handoff-and-disappear moment.

Before your project wraps, I'll make sure you understand how to manage the parts of your website you'll use most. You'll also have post-launch support for questions or small issues that come up once the site is live.

The goal is for you to leave the project feeling confident about the website you've invested in—not nervous about touching it.

Do you offer ongoing website support?

Yes.

If you'd rather have continued help with updates, maintenance, or changes after your included post-launch support ends, ongoing website support is available.

We'll talk about those options before your project wraps so you can decide what makes the most sense for your studio.

Will I be able to update my website myself?

Yes.

Your website should make running your studio easier, not leave you dependent on a designer every time your schedule, pricing, or content changes.

Training is built into the process, and you'll receive guidance for managing your new site confidently after launch. And if you'd rather not handle updates yourself, ongoing support is available.

Getting Started

How do I get started?

Start with a free 30-minute intro call.

We'll talk about your studio, what isn't working with your current website, what you'd like your new site to accomplish, and whether we're a good fit to work together.

There's no pressure and no hard sell—just a conversation about your studio and what you need.

Still wondering if we’re the right fit?

You don't need to have everything figured out before we talk. Bring your questions, your current website frustrations, and where you'd like your studio to go. We'll take it from there.
